Visa Information

Visa Requirements

In most cases, visas are not required for traveling to Grenada.

 

Canadian and American citizens do not require visas to visit Grenada provided they are in possession of the following:

   Proof of Citizenship
   Return ticket or tickets to an onward destination
 
 

Citizens of Commonwealth countries are similarly visa exempt provided they are in possession of the following:

 

   Valid Passport
   Return ticket or tickets to an onward destination
 

 The "Visa Exempt" conditions also apply to citizens of several other countries. Citizens of all other countries should contact this office for further information.

 

Visitors may stay in the country for periods up to three (3) months

 

Non-Grenadians wishing to work in Grenada must first obtain a work permit from the Ministry of Labour, St. George's, Grenada.

 

Non-Grenadians wishing to purchase land in Grenada are required to apply to the Government for an Aliens Land Holding Permit.


                                  

Applying for a Visa
 

A valid passport or approved travel document must be submitted with every VISA Application form. For the applicant's own protection, documents should be submitted by Registered Mail unless delivered in person.

 

The fee for a Visitor's Visa is US$100.00 (single entry) or US$250.00 (multiple entries). Fees must be remitted by Money Order or Certified Cheque. Where application is submitted by mail, an additional CAD$7.00 must be included to cover the cost of return by Registered Mail.

 

Application for a VISA should be made at least three (3) clear weeks before the intended date of departure. If it is necessary to refer the application to Immigration authorities in Grenada, a longer period will be required for processing.

 

Holders of Visitor's Visas may not take up employment in Grenada unless authorised to do so by the local Ministry of Labour.

 

Application forms must be accompanied by your current passport and two (2) passport size photographs of the applicant.
