MAJOR LAUNCH AT ST. PATRICK’S FOR SPICE MAS 2007

 

 

Monday, June 25, 2007, St. George’s: The Grenada Carnival Committee on Saturday, 23, June 2007 staged a Caravan Carnival Promotion leaving the Melville Street Fish Market and journeying on the Western side of the island to Sauteurs, St. Patrick’s where the St. Patrick’s Carnival Committee staged their Carnival Launch  for Spice Mas 2007.

 

The people who live on that side of the island were treated to new Soca releases for 2007 from the likes of Soca Bantan, Boogie B, Soca Sterling, Nikka, Inferno, and others who accompanied the caravan to the Court Yard where there was a buzz of activities as vendors and committee members were making last minute preparations in anticipation of the fun filled evening. 

 

The Launch was well attended as hundreds of patrons turned out to witness the event. The evening was filled with Soca music from both local and visiting artistes.

 

Masqueraders and Short Knee was also highlighted and Lady Cinty and her Golden Girls was a welcomed treat. The St. Patrick’s Development Committee has been together for a number of years and continues to work assiduously to put St. Patrick on the Grenada Carnival Calender of Events. The St. Patrick Calender of Events for Spice Mas 2007 reads:
