Monday, June 25, 2007, St. George’s: The Tanteen Netball Complex was on
Friday 22nd June 2007, was transformed into a Carnival City as
hundreds of Carnival lovers and enthusiasts came out to witness the Official
Launch of Spice Mas 2007.
The long anticipated event could not have been
staged at a better time as all aspects of Spice Mas 2007 was showcased.
The June 22nd 2007 Spice Mas
promotional caravan left the Melville Street Fish Market and made its way to
the Tanteen Netball Complex, for a grand finale. By-standards, well wishers and
carnival enthusiasts was given information about the up-coming events what to
expect for Spice Mas 2007.
The Calypsonians who performed on the truck all
the way to Tanteen gave a good account of themselves as they unleashed some of
their hits for 2007.
Nikka, Boogie B, Soca Bantan, Zingo, Small Pin
and Inferno were some of the Calypsonians who performed.

The action continued at the
Tanteen Netball Complex later that evening as hundreds of spectator was treated
to Soca from 13 plus Soca artistes, Sketches of costumes from Mas band leaders
like Helen Marie and Associates,
The Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation,
Culture and Performing Arts, Dr. Clarice Modeste-Curwen in her short address
declared Spice Mas 2007 officially open and encouraged Grenadians to have
fun, play a clean and incident free carnival and always put the
country first.
She also praised her team which she said is
working extremely hard to make Spice Mas 2007 a success.

and Wireless is the premier sponsor of Spice Mas 2007.
