Grenada placed 1^st Runner Up at Annual

Miss Ecstasy International Beauty Pageant

Monday 30^th July, 2007- St. George’s: Grenada’s Crystal McLawrence was adjudged 1^st runner up at the annual Miss Ecstasy International Pageant in Anguilla on Saturday 28^th July, 2007. Ms. McLawrence competed against 11 other ladies from the Caribbean who vied for the prestigious Miss International title at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Center.

Grenada continues to be recognized as a strong competitor at the Miss Ecstasy International Pageant having won on four occasions.

Year 1999 Miss Ecstasy International Lexan Medford

Year 2004 Miss Ecstasy International Janelle Frederick

Year 2005 Miss Ecstasy International Nicole Seales

Year 2006 Miss Ecstasy International Luann Harford

This year the coveted title went to Miss Anguilla Amber Woodley who edged out Miss Grenada Crystal McLawrence by 19 points to win the title. The 2^nd runner up position went to Juana McClean of Barbados and 3^rd runner up was Samantha Issac of Antigua.

Special prizes were awarded as follows:

Best Promotional Speech- Miss Grenada

Best Swimsuit- Miss Barbados

Best Future Shock- Miss Anguilla

Best Talent- Miss Anguilla

Best Evening Gown Miss Grenada

The show which began about 8:30 p.m ran until 3:00 a.m. the following morning with the only major delays coming at the end with the judges finding it difficult to select the winner.
