Ministry of Education Launches Website

 

Tuesday 21st August, 2007- St. George’s: A website for The Ministry of Education was launched today at http://www.grenadaedu.com. This website will give users a precise picture of what the Ministry of Education is, what it does, and what constitutes its Vision, Mission, Values and Priorities.

 

The launch which was hosted by Minister for Education, Labour and Legal Affairs Hon. Claris Charles took place at the conference room of the Ministry of Education.

 

www.grenadaedu.com will provide information for everyone:

 

·        The student who wants to learn more about the syllabus and examination dates

·        The parent who needs to assist his/her child with homework

·        The teacher who needs a new idea on how to help his/her students understand the curriculum

·        The corporate citizen who needs information on a school activity/event he /she has been asked to sponsor

 

The website which is still a work in progress will feature the following:

According to Minister for Education, Labour and Legal Affairs Hon. Claris Charles, one should be able to log on to a Ministry of Education website and know what is happening in education. Parents should be able to access their children’s academic performance and get help with homework etc.

 

The education minister said this is just the beginning and that the website will be constantly updated with lesson plans and other tools to assist students, parents, and teachers.
